Ambient Lighting mode

To present diagrammatical objects or internal scenes, it would be helpful to turn off the sun and switch to an only "ambient lighting" mode.

Do you think for this you would need other light sources to work and not just glow without interacting at the moment ?

Hi, I've been working on that and all background coloring can be controlled from Rhino. Also I added a "Studio" viewer which is a very simple color neutral scene where you can turn of the sun for just diffuse lighting.
I will post a video on it on slack soon.
Adding other light source is a limitation of the engine. I can add light sources like cones, planes and point lights, but they cannot produce a shadow so they look very cheap. Normally when you see lights like this in game engines they are baked into the material on compile. RADii is purely dynamic, so that is not possible.
I made a HD viewer some time ago, but I never got feedback. This is based on real time ray tracing and can handle complex lighting dynamic (and reflection). This requires a RTX graphics card however.
