Got the same problem. Is it solved by someone?

It is a known issue with IE9 when trying to use the localStorage from a local
file (html) it should not happen when your html is hosted remotely. IE9 does
not support localStorage from local files.

Maybe dat.gui could make a check before accessing, but by now you can handle it
just hosting your file.

the localStorage test can be fixed for IE9 by changing the test as below:

  var SUPPORTS_LOCAL_STORAGE = (function() {
    try {
      return 'localStorage' in window && window['localStorage'];
    } catch (e) {
      return false;
    }
  })();

I made this modification to local copy of dat.gui.js and no now errors in IE9.

- However it should be noted that I also see Issue 5 "dropdowns don't work" on
IE9 so it's not fully functional...
