Widget transparency on home screen higher than in preview #76
Comments
I tried on my phone and couldn't exactly reproduce - in fact color is too transparent, but it's visible that there is some color in a background. Also, it works the same for me on Fossify Calendar and the latest Simple Calendar Pro. You're comparing to an outdated version of Simple Calendar (last released version was 6.23.1), so it's not a bug introduced by us. Can you try to set some other value, e.g. transparency at half and see if it looks the same in configuration and on the launcher? Because maybe there isn't an issue with background not drawing, but drawing with too much transparency. |
Hello Aga-C, you are right, there is a little value for transparency, when I put screen brightness to maxiumum, I see a faint shadow around the widget. And if I put it to one half, I see the more widget background, but still with more transparency than intended. The title could be changed to "Widget preview doesn't match result" or something like that, but there are also other inconsistencies between the preview and the result, expecially for the list view, so I thought this title would be too broad. I stopped updating apps from the Simple Mobile Tools suite after they told that they won't update the free app versions anymore and made some previously free features premium-only. |
Thanks for clarifying that it's, in fact, the issue with too much transparency also on your side. That definitely needs to be improved. If you'd like, you can edit your post and change the title accordingly :) |

Additional context
I use the Nova Launcher and the Arcticons IconPack in the screenshots. Afterwards I tested with Quickstep (Android default launcher) and without the icon pack, with the same result.
If you want me to test other settings, let me know!
