Confusion about opinionated choices.

Hello!

I'm looking over some of the configuration options/choices and I'm wondering why some things are marked as opinionated and what makes them opinionated in the first place? I'd really like some clarity on why it's an opinionated choice and reasoning for- and against it. :)

Personally I'm mostly curious about this.

The global registry is a bloated list of someones favorites.

Shit got added without a clear policy, and now nothing can't be removed anymore "because it could break poeples workflows"…

Yeah… I am so lucky that flakes are marked experimental, this really allows us to break stuff…
