Fatal error "basic_string::_M_replace" in 'pigeon sort'

*This was the only version available without version conflicts in my HPC environment.

Conda environment
only pbpigeon exists inside the conda environment.

Describe the bug
Fatal error "basic_string::_M_replace" appears when running 'pigeon sort' on my reference.gtf.
This reference.gtf was created simply by combining ncbiRefSeq.gtf and rmsk.gtf using 'cat'.

To Reproduce
gtf file is not supported for uploading on github, but I am happy to share the example gtf.

I greatly appreciate your insights on what might be occurring.
