Helix Core is the original Helix client and it builds the backbone of the network. However, it downloads and stores the entire history of Helix transactions; depending on the speed of your computer and network connection, the synchronization process can take anywhere from a few hours to a day or more. Thankfully you only have to do this once.
The following are some helpful notes on how to run Helix on your native platform.
Unpack the files into a directory and run:
- bin/32/helix-qt (GUI, 32-bit) or bin/32/helixd (headless, 32-bit)
- bin/64/helix-qt (GUI, 64-bit) or bin/64/helixd (headless, 64-bit)
Unpack the files into a directory, and then run helix-qt.exe.
Drag Helix-Qt to your applications folder, and then run Helix-Qt.
