I created a macOS Sequoia installer USB with createinstallmedia on another Mac, mounted the EFI, put in the 1.0.2 EFI from this repo, copied in the Sequoia config plist, generated an SMBIOS, and set the appropriate BIOS settings on the ThinkPad.
When I try to boot the Sequoia installer, the Apple logo shows up and it gets about a third of the way there, then the screen becomes blank with just the backlight on. It is booted, as I can plug in an HDMI display and the UI is there, but nothing is showing up on the internal LCD. HDMI is quite buggy as well, and not stable enough to use for installing. It constantly disconnects and reconnects.
I have two of these machines, both exhibit the same behavior. One is on BIOS 1.50 and the other is on 1.64. As far as I can tell, they match the exact specs in the README, other than a different NVME drive. They have Intel NVME drives, but it's one which should be supported natively.
Is there something obvious I am missing? Maybe a BIOS setting I should check?
