Hey,
I am a little confused about the power consumption of my laptop when the nvidia-xrun-pm.service is enabled. Maybe I have misconception about it, but here is my problem:
When using startx my laptop used to draw around 9-10 watts idle (source is tlp-stat). After I installed nvidia-xrun-git and enabled the service it draws around 14 watts idle, even though dedicated graphics are not active (it does not show in lspci). If i disable the service the power consumption of startx drops back to normal.
Of course it makes sense to me that the power consumption is higher when I start a new session with nvidia-xrun because of the dedicated graphics card, but why does it affect startx? I thought the service is just to completly remove the graphics card from the kernel tree?
