Menus in reaper are displayed as mangled floating windows instead of regular menus.

Extracted from niri msg windows:

Window ID 8: (focused)
  Title: "menu"
  App ID: "REAPER"
  Is floating: yes
  PID: 6136
  Workspace ID: 2

Here is a screenshot:

And a screenshot from sway for reference:

System Information

  • niri version: niri 25.02 (unknown commit)
  • Distro: archlinux
  • GPU: Intel Corporation 3rd Gen Core processor Graphics Controller
  • CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3320M CPU @ 2.60GHz

Sorry for the very terse bug report, I'm clueless on how to troubleshoot this. Don't hesitate to tell me if you need more info.

EDIT: I've just tested with the default config from the package, same issue of floating menus but at least they are properly sized.

If it is running as an X11 app, then this is an https://github.com/Supreeeme/xwayland-satellite issue and should be reported there. If it is running as a Wayland app, then it is reaper's own issue (I've seen this on MuseScore). Either way I'm afraid it's not niri doing anything wrong.
