First and foremost, I’d like to thank the user community for their helpful feedback from the birth of this project in mid-2014. While some issues are easier to fix than others—and are therefore deployed more quickly—some issues, due to their scope, need to be addressed in a more longer-term fashion, such as adding Hong Kong and HKSCS-2016 support in Version 2.000. Rest assured that Adobe is committed to maintaining this typeface, and improving it with each subsequent release.

U+32FF Update

The Version 2.000 fonts include blank placeholder glyphs for U+32FF—named uni32FF and uni32FF-V, which correspond to CIDs 2184 and 65359, respectively—that represents the two-kanji quare ligature form of Japan’s forthcoming new era name that begins on 2019-05-01. The vertical substitutions are already in place, and the only change beyond including actual glyphs is to add the appropriate substitution to the 'dlig' (Discretionary Ligatures) GSUB feature. Therefore, shortly after the name of Japan’s new era name is announced, an update will be issued that replaces the blank placholder glyphs for U+32FF with actual glyphs. This update may also include fixes to other issues.
