Hello there! i have little question to you bros, i have PlayStation SCPH 5552 PAL version and FreePSXBoot installed to my MemoryCard slot 2 (newest one). The question is, can it run through FreePSXBoot burned NTSC/USA Game ? Why im trying to do this? because i have original Tekken3 PAL version of the game, which is running kinda slow (50fps), and yes i tried using the method " PAL -> NTSC mode", well the game was running more smoothly like in NTSC (60fps) but the overall image was Black&White and the characters were semi-transparent... so i thought, maybe i'll create backup disc with NTSC version and run through FreePSXBoot, well it doesnt want to run, its stuck on screen which was saying something like "fastload .... tekken3/etc...". So yeah, im doing something wrong or its just impossible to run NTSC games on PAL console ? or maybe the copy of NTSC game is f#$@d ? (sorry for my english, i tried to explain the situation as best as i can :] ) |

OK i know whats wrong, its the clean discs itself, which is : Verbatim CD-R Extra Protection, aka CMC Magnetics corp. Gotta buy the DataLifePlus (by Mitsubishi Corp. ) . After few attempts, the console decided to run the tekken 3 ntsc version and even the cmr2 pal, but its having hiccups all the time, and i recorded them at 4x speed. So yeah ... the issue was the disc itself, and the FreePSXBoot works excelent ;) |
