Timed out waiting for transform from base_footprint to map to become available #1676

Hi
I am running stage_ros with cartographer. (test with gmapping is fine).
I can see laser_scan from rviz, but the mapping doesn't work

Clearly the map frame is missing

I can run the cartographer with real environment and on bag file.
So I assume the launch file and lua file is correctly set.
There is a map frame setting on it.

and the rqt_graph if it is helpful

any idea of that?

Does your sensor data have the frame_ids set correctly? From the log it looks like something is empty and TF lookup fails because of that.
