Missing git tag for 1.0.0 release #14

Latest PyPI release version is v1.0.0 but there is no corresponding git tag. It will be great to have such tag for reference purposes.

Apologies for never having followed up on this. For new releases, we do make sure the git tags are consistent with the PyPi releases.
