capital spacing

Hello,
is there any way to change capital spacing ? I found this:
"features - an array of OpenType feature tags to apply. If not provided, a set of defaults is used."

I dont really know if "capital spacing" is something I need. I have baracode font and when I create pdf this font is wider then I expect. How to change it to leave height as is but make it less width.

doc.scale(0.5, 1) will make it half its width (you'll have to test that the barcode still works afterwards)
