Check the kernel version in "linux-lmp-fslc-imx-rt_6.6.bb"

When I read the content of "linux-lmp-fslc-imx-rt_6.6.bb", I read:

LINUX_VERSION = "6.1.38"
KERNEL_BRANCH = "6.1-2.0.x-imx-rt"

It seems at least confusing: is this kernel a v6.6 or a v6.1?
Commit cf23bca43516 has bumped the version by changing the recipe file name, as usual, with commit message bsp: linux-lmp-fslc-imx-rt: Bump to Linux kernel 6.6.
Shouldn't it change the variables too? Or, if not, justify it with a comment?

Despite the version in the name being v6.6 the recipe still remains v6.1.

Yes, the variables should also be changed to reflect the correct version and branch.
