I am trying to understand from the general code and xray endpoint documentation what happens if I create a test with an identifier (e.g. PROJ-1234) that is not assigned to a test (e.g. PROJ-1234 is a Story) or is not existent at all (e.g. PROJ-1234 does not exist).
Unfortunately I can't mess with my current Jira and run an experiment, but a colleague informed me that the xray endpoint might create an empty xray test automatically. Is this actually true, and if so, is there some mechanism in the plugin to prevent this from happening (that is, only accept the submission if all tests exist)

Hi @stefanoborini, unfortunately I don't have access to Jira Xray. I am maintaining this plugin based only on the Xray documentation. So if you have any question about its functionality you need to ask someone from Jira/Xray support.
