Currently, the Export as Image option does not offer any settings whatsoever. One just clicks on the Export as Image button and saves the file as .png, that's it.
I would like to see more format options, at least the same we can see in the Layout Composer in QGIS: .png, .jpg, .pdf... Also, it would be great to be able to choose the size and resolution of the exported file, as currently they are rather small and it gets blurry if the image is further imported on some other design software, as Illustrator or InDesign.

this is currently a limitation of the plugin + the way images are exported with qt. plotly bases the export of the images (pdf, svg, etc) on another python package (kaleido) that is not installed in QGIS.
