* Method 2, the second router is default router mode, but with a different router IP address that is not conflict with 192.168.8.1/24, e.g., 192.168.10.1, then connect the LAN port of GL-MT2500A to the WAN port of the second router.
If the second router is in default router mode connecting the GL-MT2500A LAN to the second routers WAN would not be a recommended way to configure the GL-MT2500A from my point of view
The second router is only configured for PPPOE on WAN -> no access
The second router gets WAN per integrated DSL modem -> no ethernet WAN port
Even if possible: you will not have any internet on your device while configuring it
For a device with no wifi I would expect the user to have a method to connect the device via ethernet. I would recommend connecting a device directly to the LAN port of the GL-MT2500A to configure it.

Thanks for your valuable suggestion. I have updated the page based on your feedback.
Just to clarify, the second router mentioned here is a regular router, like GL.iNet GL-AXT1800, TP-LINK, or Netgear routers. As you correctly pointed out, modems, Optical Network Terminals, or devices provided by ISPs may not work in this scenario.
We appreciate you taking the time to provide your insights. Your input helps us improve our documentation and make it more useful for our users. If you have any further suggestions or comments, please don't hesitate to let us know.
