Imagine the following:

  1. user starts browser (with or without password protection)
  2. unsubscribes all categories

In this case there will be no knocking ads obviously, so the big ad display (with the settings link or button) will not be shown when clicking the knock.

There should still be a way to navigate from the knock to the settings, so that he can subscribe to categories, change password etc etc.

Question is how to do that?

Yup, there are different scenarios we need to plan for here, and we will anyway need different kinds of knocks:

  1. ads
  2. categories
  3. suggestions (from statistics)
  4. administrative / info
  5. ...

In the first phase, if no categories are followed, we could suggest categories:

  • "Check out Travel - 15 good offers"

I'll put this to my list tomorrow. Something simple to a start, then we'll see&hear how stuff works and what people want and react to that.
