Each ad should be shown in the knock for a configurable period of time. If the ad is not acted upon then it can be shown again at a later point. The repetition of the ads is again configurable.
Initial values could be like:
the knock shows a new ad for 10 seconds, before minimizes itself
the same ad may appear 5 times within a day
If jGlome is used within an extension then these settings should be adjustable via about:config in the browser (this implies to open an issue for ff-extension too).

Let's keep this simple now as there are ready-made advertising tools that have all the bells&whistles with how many times to show etc. We will need to look into those (e.g. http://www.openx.com/publisher/open-source-ad-server )
