Currently the color choice dialogs are inconsistent.

For example,

Menu buttons and links allow you to choose from a limited list of colors, while icons use a specific color.
Buttons can be set individually while icon color is set as a group.
How should we handle hover colors for icons/links/buttons

Will need to do an audit of which components have color choices and how to standardize them.

Here is an audit of our components, which leverages a background scheme, what has pickers, what has color dropdowns.

We have put together a suggested list, but we may want to consider a different list or an expanded list for these items.

We need to dive into the difference between items like tags vs. buttons vs. backgrounds and the amount of control allowed the author. Mapping colors to meaning is more viable for both ease of design and accessibility (vision impaired.)
