Hello,

  Please see the attached patch. It fixes displaying calendar header in IE8
without need to update to Prototype 1.6.1 (at least with my setup).

  It also fixes infinite cycle in scal in IE caused by daylight saving
change in March (worst bug, it kills IE).

  It also fixes memory leak caused by incorrect usage of stopObserving
function.
