Documentation of software needs a selection drop down list for selecting documentation version that is appropriate to the version used by user. Developers will need to refer to a particular version of documentation for a product. If it is not easily available via a drop down menu in the documentation itself, then developers or users will have to scramble to find where the specific documentation version exists. This is useful to quickly switch between documentation version that is specific to a product version. A good example is python documentation. It has a drop down to select documentation for older version. Having this feature will streamline developer experience for both outside developers as well as internal developers. I hope I don't need to make any further points regarding the importance and need for this feature.
