@elevatorguy, thanks for providing information about the environment. This will help us to understand the root cause of the problem.

We also need the following information below about the reproducer and compiler arguments. Using that information we will figure out what failed, where and why:

1. Include a code snippet that is as short as possible
2. Specify the command which should be used to compile the program
3. Specify the command which should be used to launch the program
4. Indicate what is wrong and what was expected

As for UEFI, we have kernel.c; not necessarily with need for command(s) - upstream repository. It is unlike Intel's EDKII, if you're familiar with that. There is pull request pending as the video series didn't quite get to implementing EFI_PCI_IO_PROTOCOL.

Upstream uses clang instead of icx to compile EFI binaries. My fork does not use qemu and I'd like to edit this post with progress/finding(s) as they occur.
