Native Codec is an Android C++ sample that uses the Native Media Codec API to play a video.
Note: It requires a video file to be placed in /sdcard/testfile.mp4 For demonstration purposes we have supplied such a file.
This sample uses the new Gradle Experimental Android plugin with C++ support.
- Android Studio 1.3+ with NDK bundle.
- Download Android Studio
- Launch Android Studio.
- Open the sample directory.
- Open File/Project Structure...
- Click Download or Select NDK location.
- Click Tools/Android/Sync Project with Gradle Files.
- Click Run/Run 'app'.
- Open a terminal prompt and run
adb push testfile.mp4 /sdcard/testfile.mp4
to copy the test video file.
