The are more benefits than downsides.

Most people don't want to install anything extra on their systems development dependencies. The average user doesn't even know how to compile, so by providing a precompiled binary, project growth will rise. And there are many upsides of a growing the user base, donations more developers etc. Simple equation.

Hi Ivan - the next release will have a precompiled binary and .rpm/.deb packages. I am keeping my eye on flatpak as well as a build target for a future release.

I actually ended up just making a release for you with precompiled binaries and the rpm/deb packages (since I already had the rpm/deb packaging worked out). Check out the releases page here: https://github.com/jstaf/onedriver/releases

I'm leaving this issue open as a reminder to create a flatpak for future versions.

I've created #420 to add a Docker container as an option to run the program.
