How to fix half installed version, its not in added and remove programs, but installer telling me that is already installed and i have uninstall it, but how?
#290
I tried to install compiled version 1 of my computers, antivir (Avira) reported some false positives.. and before i fix it (Avira GUI is very slow), installer finished.. Im not sure, maybe even cancel it. On other machine i had similar problems with Windows 10 inbuilld antivirus.
I expected that new installation would reinstall the package, but in ADD/Remove program is not NTVDMX64 entry because it was not completly installed, but in other hand installer claims that its already there, message there:
It seems that you have ntvdm.exe already on your system.
I assume that it's NTVDMx64. Before reinstalling ntvdmx64, you should
uninstall the old version via control panel first.
Press any key to continue . . .
Im not sure, probably as any other users how to fix it, if could just delete Windows files, if will not case boot fail etc..
So some uninstall script or force reinstall would be very handy.
