This is a permissions issue. If you are using Chrome - go to Extensions and then to the Pesticide extension and click details. Scroll down and find 'Allow access to file URLs' |

great man it's working |
Well The Instructor is Angella Yu..xD |
And how do i do this in firefox? |
juanbaltasar - Firefox uses different add-ons by different developers. Firefox uses both Firebug and FF Developer Edition for it's dev tools. I'd suggest looking in the options -> addons or extensions and see if it has a similar option to Chrome. As I don't use FF for development tools, I'm not familiar with the process in FF. |

Once that is turned on, the extension will be allowed file access to your
local files.
Enjoy!
Thank a lot

firefox doesnt seem to have that option |
Try downloading Pesticide for Chrome (without hover bar) and then turn on "Allow access to file URL". It worked for me. Hope it will fix your issue as well. |

Thank You so much. |
Watching a web developing course where the instructor is using Pesticide on a local file and it's working, while I'm doing to same and it's working on everything BUT local files.
I don't think I'm the only one facing this as others have also reported the issue.
