obtaining subgrains Id from specific grains

Hi,
I am currently working on forged materials. During my analysis, I need to separate 2 populations from one phase. I already serarated my grain in the alpha phase but I don't know how to obtain their subgrain ID.

I have here separated the alpha phase into the blue and red population.

I would like to obtain the subgrain ID from the red grains. And if possible to convert some subgrains into blue grains.

here is my code so far:

Could you try to explain a little bit more in detail what you want to achieve? I do not understand what is a subgrain in your context and how you compute it.

Yes sure.
I am working on forged titanium. During forging , we will deform the alpha phase into a globular shape ( red phase). After forging we will cool the material, leading us to the apparition of needle like alpha phase alpso named seconday alpha phase (blue phase).
On my case , there are some of the secondary alpha phase who have appeared on the globular alpha and are lowly desoriented with each other.

My objective is to pick manually those secondary alpha phase that were asigned as subgrains of the globular one (red phase) and switch them into the blue phase.
