Linux Mint App store looks old.

Can you add an option to add Screenshots of the apps, ratings inside the app (not via external website) and top 100/1000 list for apps by downloads/ratings? The app store looks compared to other OS app stores a bit let's say "old". A modernization would be cool.

I don't know what you were expecting, but the term "App Store" suggests you are new to LInux Mint.

Have you done any exploring in the Software Manager? If I click on package that looks interesting, I see a screenshot, sometimes several, and a tab where I can read reviews. See below for a screen shot.

I'm sure that if you would like to tweak the design of the Software Manager, however, no one would object, as long as you don't break its functionality.

Hello I would like to tweak it yes, but man am sorry that app store or software manager (no difference am sorry and I have been using Linux for a long time) looks outdated

This is an example of an app store redesign, it's mine by the way.

Most system packages don't have much in the way of screenshots - this has nothing to do with the software manager. Flatpaks have much better support, usually with multiple high resolution screenshots.

Having to write reviews from your browser is a lot easier to maintain than having to implement this in the software manager. If you're determined to write a review I don't think it's a huge roadblock.

I don't think it looks 'old', but there's always room for improvement. On the other hand it's pretty responsive compared to other desktop app stores I've used.

I think having the ability for users to easily upload the screenshots will solve that problem, and yes going to a website to upload is bad UX as most give up just on the redirect.

But replacing screenshots is needed. Firefox has a screenshot 17 years old.
