I have the same issue.
OPNPS2LD_v1.2.0-Beta-2197-d5e0998
SCPH-90008 + modbo 5.0
Tried over SMB and USB (4Gb), same result.
"Infinite" loading config.

P.S: OPNPS2LD-v1.2.0-Beta-2199-200eaa - even worse, it just completely freezes upon the launch. (even without old configs, completely fresh start)

Try this

OPNPS2LD-v1.2.0-Beta-2199-200eaa7 run_2071

The app loads fine now with this version, without freezes upon the start, with the old configs.
But when I tried launching a PS1 game over USB it still had that "infinite" "Loading config..." message.

It's working for me, I'm using USB
I started Legacy Of Kain:Blood Omen via the apps tab

I tried again, following this tutorial.
OPL does detect game files on my USB drive.
And now I have this type of error: "Error, could not run the item. Previously I was using "conf_apps.cfg" file, now I'm doing without it.

My POP structure looks like that:

./POP/
./POPS_IOX.PAK
./POPSTARTER.ELF
./SCES_014.38.Spyro_1.VCD
./SLES_01649.Tomb_Raider_3.VCD
./SLUS_000.27.VCD

I've also copied "POPSTARTER" folder from one of the older tutorials I found to the root of my MC1, don't know if it's actually needed anymore.

Maybe there's a problem with my SCPH-90008, which can't load some files properly? I don't know.

Trying to find the error will be a bit tiring

Let's try something else

Convert PS1 Games to VCD Using POPStarter Installer

And use POPSLoader to list and run the games

I recommend watching some tutorials to use them correctly.

If we have already resolved everything, I think this issue can be closed.
