• I am currently using the project name "pybrowsers" https://pypi.org/project/pybrowsers/ since the name I wanted to use was blocked.
• This project was intended as an alternative to the std lib https://docs.python.org/3/library/webbrowser.html

Yes, unfortunately, browsers is a prohibited name, so we can't release it. I think using your current project name is a great choice.
