About the project

robotframework-SikuliLibrary is a "Library" within the Robot Framework (robotframework) ecosystem. Within the "library" or Python package we include the prebuilt Jar Windows to simplify the installation effort for that subset of users. The SikuliLibrary project has been around since 2016 but more recently, this year the Robot Framework community has taken ownership of the project (marketsquare aka Ed Manlove/@emanlove, HelioGuilherme66 aka Hélio Guilherme/@HelioGuilherme66). In an effort to update the project we want to make releases while also trying to reduce current build sizes.

Reasons for the request

The build has increased from around 73MB to 145MB. We expect slight increases (10-20MB) over next three releases planned within 2025. Thus we believe 200MB should be sufficient. In parallel we are looking at both reducing the build size and providing methods for users to self build reducing the need for packaging with the JAR. This too is scheduled for work to be completed by end of year 2025.
