Reasons for the request

I would like to create a project naming "tray", however, I got the error message saying this name is not allowed. May I ask why this name is not allowed and whether it could be released to use? Thanks!

May I ask why this name is not allowed

There's anti-namesquatting automations that block names similar to popular libs (to help find supply chain attacks). Plus, a manual block list. That might be the reason. The PyPI admins will be able to tell you more and maybe even unblock you if the justification is solid. You'll have to wait for them to get to this request, though.
