Reasons for the request
This project has not been updated since Dec 2, 2018. I've contacted the owner on 3 separate emails for the last 2 months and attempted to contact them on Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
It is a project which has been abandoned for 7 years now, whereas we are running a python package that is actively maintained with a growing open source community and it would be amazing to reclaim this name

The previous repository has not been updated in 7 years and is an abandoned project. After attempting to connect to subutux on mulitple platforms, I think it's fair to reclaim and replace the package name with ours which is actively maintained and growing.

Their twitter, linkedin, instagram, facebook, and several publicly shared emails have not been updated in several years. I believe this user has reduced their digital footprint and many of their email addresses and domain names are also abandoned.
