3.14.0b1 python.exe hangs

Bug description:

So I have to kill all python.exe with Win10 Task Manager, so qBittorrent can quit, when commanded

This sounds like a bug in qBittorrent. Could you send your code?

It's not, 'coz qB has worked with every single version of Python I've downloaded, exept a 1 or 2 with the same problem, which as fixed by switching the Python version.
I don't have code, but you can attempt to replicate it by installing qB, then updating the search plug-ins, which use Python, as they're Python Scripts, and then search for something.
0a7 works as it should: after the search is done, the python.exe instances, end on their own

Keep in mind that differences in behavior between versions (especially with extended/embedded cases) isn't always a symptom of a Python bug, because someone could be incorrectly relying on implementation details that changed. For example, they could be releasing or keeping the GIL somewhere they aren't supposed to, which could work for years without issue, but the moment we add a lock or something like that, they get a deadlock.

That said, it could be a CPython bug, but there's really nothing we can do without a code-based reproducer. I'm going to close this for now, but please bring this up to qBittorrent (probably on their forums). If they debug it and find that it is an issue on our end, they'll come and open a new issue. Thanks!

With the standard qBittorrent 5.1.0 used to hang, now with the latest Nightly qBittorrent 5.1.0, Python 3.14.0b1 python.exe works as expected. And yes, I made a bug report with qBittorrent; just wanna let you know
