hey I know why.
your client is being spoofed as iOS, which in fact breaks history saving! go to "Revanced Extended" in settings, then "Miscellaneous", then "Spoof client" and turn off client spoofing or set it to something other than iOS. the very bottom of the page explains what each spoofing mode does and it's drawbacks. hope this helped :)
