Child layers inside Components or Folders are not renamed when selecting Parents. Manually selecting these items will result in them being changed, however there is no way to select multiple children in different parent-relationships at the same time.

Rename it only works with the selected layers. Select multiple children in different parent-relationships at the same time is an XD issue, once they allow that it'll work with the plugin
