Future of Infallible

Currently, the docs for Infallible mentions plans of replacing it with a type alias to !. But, Infallible implements Error. Would this cause an issue? Maybe those plans need to change, or i dont know how ! interacts with the trait system, or that needs to be changed.

None of this represents a problem that would block the stabilization of "! everywhere".

There might be some small issues with making Infallible a type alias for ! but nothing major IIRC, at least I hope so. Of course, implementing the same trait for both Infallible and ! will break but that's acceptable given the fact that ! in trait impl position is officially unstable (there are some ways to outwit rustc but those can safely be disregarded).
