I was supposed to give a talk about winit last year, and came up with the title "winit: windowing without walls". Not only does it have alliteration, but it also has wordplay! Unfortunately, I bailed out of giving that talk, so I never got to see the joy that the title surely would've brought the audience.
So, would "windowing without walls" be a cool slogan? Are we above this sort of tomfoolery?

Playing devil's advocate here for a bit: Why does winit need a slogan? I feel like usually that is used to rope in people that aren't familiar with the project and give a super short overview over what it does and aims to be, but with a library like winit people are unlikely to run into it without knowing what it does.
The idea of "windowing" alone already requires some understanding of what winit is before even being able to understand the slogan, so that seems a bit strange to me. If I would listen to a talk that's a different thing since I know what I'm getting into, but as a general project slogan I would question how clear that is.
Lastly, what exactly does "without walls" mean and how is it represented in winit? I feel like this is a bit of a parallel to Rust's "system programming without fear", but they make it very specific to systems programming that you don't have to be afraid anymore, not programming in general. As a general windowing library in winit there are probably more walls than in many other toolkits when it comes to the complexity of the system, since it requires a relatively complicated programming language (Rust) to make use of it. It's also not really usable outside of the Rust ecosystem.
If I look at winit the only property that comes to mind that clearly sets it apart from many other toolkits (besides being for Rust), is that it supports such a wide range of platforms. I suppose one could argue that this is the reduction in "walls" you're speaking of, which would make sense. But it's not really clear to me.
