I would also like a similar tool where I can select two or three points in the world (like two poles) to easily align planks, similar to what I did here:
The way I currently achieved this was by placing a regular unrotated cube brush over everything, then using the clipping tool on it to get the plank angle, then extruded the face, deleted the original cube and because the face goes into the poles I now extrude another face outwards, clip away the sides and amazing, a plank, way too much effort.

This feature could save lives as it highly reduces the stress levels involved with getting brushes aligned on slopes.
