Old REPL output breaks pasting transcript

problem

It doesn't detect the scala prompt and ignores ctl-d. Maybe the old <console> label is the problem?

Hit three CR to get out of line continuation, then ctl-D works normally to terminate the input.

The problem is that the rest of the paste winds up in the continuation:

The behavior is "normal" in ReplTest, so it's due to the interactive REPL.
