Have some sort of error when an artboard isn't selected?

Not familiar with the Sketch plugin system, as this is my first time trying it out, but had played around with this a bit and was having absolutely no success, despite following the API/auth information.

As I now know, I had no artboard selected, which results in nothing. Anyway there could be an alert or prompt in this situation that says "Oops, we can only send Artboards to Slack. Please select an Artboard and try again."?
