can't seem to follow bluesky accounts with non-standard domains from mastodon

apologies if this is covered in another issue; i did a quick look and didn't see anything.

I've had no issue following bluesky accounts with the standard bsky.social extension via the bridge (and that is awesome!) but for other account extensions i can't see to get it to work. specifically i'm trying to follow @davidgerard.co.uk from my @[email protected] mastodon account and i can't seem to locate it. i tried these:

• @[email protected]
• @[email protected]
• @[email protected]

We're both following the bridge account on BlueSky. I asked David to follow my bridged BlueSky account to see if that helped and it did not. am i missing something? i went over the troubleshooting docs and didn't see anything glaring. also checked my user page which seems fine but can't find a userpage for David.

Hey, sorry for the confusion! That Bluesky account isn't bridged: https://fed.brid.gy/bsky/did:plc:2aiipqemoobrrilfx4jbm6pb . They may have disabled the bridge after following, or they may have hit a bug. Feel free to ask them to unfollow and re-follow the bridge account to try again!
