Hive Partitions 

--> Loading 'geolocation.csv' data to hive database and execute partitions with respective cities


Step 1.
create table trucking(truckid string,driverid string,event string,latitude double,longitude double,city string,state string,velocity int,event_ind int,id
ling_ind int) row format delimited fields terminated by ',';

Step 2.  
hive (soumith)> load data local inpath '/home/studentlogin20204631/soumith/geolocation.csv' into table trucking;

Step 3.
hive (soumith)> create table truck_part(truckid string,driverid string,event string,latitude double,longitude double,state int,velocity int,event_ind int,idling_ind int)
PARTITIONED BY(city string);
 
 
Step 4.
hive (soumith)> set hive.exec.dynamic.partition.mode=nonstrict;
 
Step 5.
hive(soumith)> insert overwrite table truck_part PARTITION(city) select truckid,driverid,event,latitude,longitude,state,velocity,event_ind,idling_ind,city from trucking
