This is not a feature request
I added a very descriptive title to this issue.
I used the GitHub search to find a similar issue and didn't find it.
I searched the documentation, with the integrated search.
I already read the docs and didn't find an answer.
I can replicate the issue inside the Demo install.

What is the issue you are experiencing?

Hello!
Search does not work on Cyrillic words.

Expecting:
Every item containing given value appears in the result

Actual:
Nothing shown

How can the maintainer reproduce the issue?

Add Cyrillic item to any root
Go to search
Enter full name of new item

Sorry if it is a duplicate. There was a similar issue #164

But I did not find a search issue.
