Update cost analysis in README.md #27
Comments
Hello, I am a Project Leader of Iconsulting, one of your partners in Italy. I followed the workshop in October using my Free Trial subscription. Now with my company we would like to do this lab again and use it as a showcase for prospects and customers. Do you have estimation about the cost of running the lab and the monthly cost necessary to keep the environment and resources active? I need to provide this info to our Infrastructure Dept. in order to get Azure credits approved. Thanks for your help! |
@frovesti - From memory, when we have run these labs in the past, the cost is <$10USD to have the lab up for a whole day. Majority of the components are cost effective SKUs (e.g. Serverless SQL DB, Storage, Synapse Workspace without dedicated pools, etc). |
Hi, I followed the workshop yesterday and I complete the 9 principal modules (without the insigths part). It would be great to have estimated cost with a month running the lab as @frovesti has asked, but I guess that the answer is beyond the purpose of the lab. Thanks anyway for the great work making this lab. |
¡No hay problema @rcostsor! My Azure (and not only) cloud solutions are in Spanish too. Not all, and not always but many of them. In different languages too. And I'm not Spanish. However, You can always change the language (and other formatting) of Azure Portal just before taking the screenshot [It is always called Azure 101 or Fundamentals :)] Apart from this, I will run this lab for the whole of February, so it should be a good summary of monthly costs across 28 days. I have got a subscription where this cost will be insignificant. I will post a summary at the beginning of March. Probably not as a blog post (I don't blog anymore), but share somehow. I plan to run entirely full workshop as well, but that will probably be over in March. And yes, THNX @tayganr for great resources. |
Update the README with indicative cost of running the lab.
