Just like an angle difference arises when you [[Parallel transport]] a vector through a curved physical space, a /[[Phase (quantum)]] / difference ([[Holonomy]] ) arises when you [[adiabatic theorem (quantum)|adiabatically]] transport a quantum state through parameter space

This means that phase/holonomy is a measure of how "curved" parameter space is.
