Please confirm the following:

  • I have carefully read the README
  • I have searched through the issues page and didn't find a similar feature request.(Including issue that has been closed)
  • Easydict has been upgraded to the latest version
  • I understand and agree to the above, and understand that the project maintainer has limited energy, issues that do not follow the rules may be ignored or closed directly

Feature description

Hello, I'm big fan of this application.

As you know, Easydict supports query icon after selecting text. What I request is expend query icon with copy, cut, etc button like PopClip.

I mainly use IntelliJ IDE but PopClip doesn't work in. I don't know why but developer says it can't cause IntelliJ side issue.

But, your query icon button works after dragging!

So I want to use EasyDict like PopClip.

I don't have any information macOS client development but it seems to possible with application work flow.

It would be awesome the powerful features will be integrated in one application.

p.s. The reason why I need that button is when I use it macOS 15.3, somehow Easydict doesn't properly work without Enable Force Get Selected Text option (It couldn't fetch selected text). But this option causes copy issue that cmd + c doesn't copy even if I certainly press button.

In order to address it I tried PopClip and it works in my intend, but as I wrote upper not working on IntelliJ

Thank you again for your contribution to the macOS open source community.

Use case

  1. Select text by mouse

  2. Pop up query icon with copy, cut, etc. (e.g. web search) Image

  3. Click copy button for example.

  4. Copy selected text to clipboard

Good idea, we have plans to add more query buttons, similar to PopClip, but it may be a long time, and the development manpower is currently insufficient.

If anyone is interested in this, feel free to PR.

I'm glad to hear that! No matter how long it takes, I just appreciate being able to use this application in my daily life. Thank you for accepting!
