Looks like there is a bug with the Pause / Play toggle, pause works without any problem, however once paused any attempt to play it back is futile as there is no intended response.
The only way is to go back to the touch pad and tap on the video ...
I am running the Linux server on a debian based Linux DISTRO by the name Deepin Linux.
My smartphone device is a Google Pixel 4xl with the purchased version of your Android app.
Can you help fix this pause and resume (play) problem ... If there is any temporary workaround please do share the same so I can utilise the same in the interim.

... In case it helps ... The Netflix (web) play/pause button(function) works ... But not the generic one ... I guess an easy fix to replicate it from Netflix to generic function ...
